Ngā Rangatahi Toa (NRT) has been recognised both nationally and internationally for its social-justice-based education initiatives and Creative Youth Development (CYD) work supporting young people.
I have volunteered as a graphic designer with NRT for around five years, a commitment that aligns closely with my personal values. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of creating a wide range of design assets, from merchandise to collateral for their annual theatre production, Manawa Ora.
While the original logo was created when NRT was first established, my role has focused on extending the visual identity—introducing yellow as a key accent colour and selecting an additional font—keeping the design vibrant, rangatahi-focused, and expressive of their art.
